Pass Me a Cup of Christmas Cheer

The holiday season officially began after Thanksgiving but I never feel any holiday spirit until after final exams. Law school final exams take a lot out of me and leave an empty shell where a happy, vibrant human being once lived. I have no energy for festivities, candy canes, or applejack brandy until I have had a chance to recover. There is always plenty of time for wine but that's just my daily dose and does not count as "festivities."

But final exams are (mostly) over for me and I have been released from law school purgatory! I still have a major paper to submit but it's been done for weeks. I just need to convince myself that I have made every conceivable argument there is. I even threw in some outlandish-this-could-sort-of-really-happen-in-a-parallel-universe arguments just to be daring and different. Hopefully it will be enough to bump me above the curve this time (please, please).

And now I am free to bake, decorate, bake, wrap gifts, bake, and just enjoy being with my family for the next month or so until I'm forced back into the cold, cruel world of gunners and grading curves.
