The 1L's are getting nervous, I can feel it. They spend long hours at the law school, absorbing every morsel of learning they can cram into their heads. They travel in packs because angst is best shared among friends, or similarly situated miserable folks. They are loaded down with text books, horn books, and supplements. And, the most telling sign of all: last week, one of them finally snapped and pulled the fire alarm in the middle of classes.
I don't know for sure it was a 1L who pulled the alarm but 2L's are still working their butts off and 3L's? Well, we really don't give a shit. Any 3L who is still going to class is going because they want to go, not because they need to go. At this point, our grades are set and as one professor so eloquently put it "this stuff isn't hard."
So, yeah, I think it was a 1L who is freaking out because finals are a mere six weeks away and maybe, for that person, it hasn't gelled yet; they are still not seeing the "big picture." Note to 1L's: calm the fuck down. You will be ok. Just think of first year as one, big hazing: It sucks while you're going through it, but once you're on the other side...well...it still sucks, but you get my point.
