Well, it's officially started -- the basement remodel. We've decided to do it in stages. Stage 1 is the insulating and drywalling of Lizzie's room. Thank goodness there's already an egress window so that's one cost we don't have to bear. I hope to have the room completed by the time Lizzie has her 10th birthday party, which is going to be a sleepover of epic proportions! Madhubby - well - he seems content to finish the room sometime, which is code for before next year. He's actually making great progress, though. He's insulated the ceiling and the walls (mostly) and is in the process of drywalling. So, with luck, the room will be finished sometime between the slumber party and Santa Claus.
