Week Rounded Out - 9.29.06

Well, we made it through another week. Barely. We missed one TAG meeting, only forgot snack twice and the girls didn't have to sprint from the car to their classrooms more than a few times. So, we did ok.

The kitchen remodeling team (Madhubby & I) took a break last weekend but we managed to complete the slate counter top, kitchen island and create a very cool brick red magnetic wall for the kiddos. Now, they can express themselves to their heart's content. Or at least within the confines of Magnetic poetry.

This weekend we have the Starving College Handyman coming by to bid on some framing work we need done in the basement. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for a good bid. I'd love to have an actual laundry room while enabling someone else to buy Cherry Garcia ice cream.

I did not blog about the home team last weekend because their loss was so painful. I yelled. I screamed. I even cursed. Just a little. And, for the first fifty-five minutes of the game, my sole support buoyed the team. Then, I went to the grocery store and it all went to hell with a matching hand basket. 14-13 was the final score. Amazingly, Hawk is still our coach and people still have faith in him. We are 0-4. Let's hope the boys take their A game with them this weekend as they battle Big 12 opponent Mizzou.

And, finally, we are enjoying an Indian Summer with temperatures expected into the eighties this weekend. Perfect weather for enjoying an early morning hike, breakfast at our favorite place and an afternoon nap. What have you got on tap for this weekend?

Whatever it is, take JT with you. Guaranteed sucka-free.
