Three in Three
This is why law firm life is not for me. Miss my kid's birthday? No fucking way. Bubba will be three years old in a few weeks and I've already chosen invitations, ordered the bouncy truck and ice cream cake. Besides, Madhubby would have me tarred and feathered if I left him alone with six screaming three-year olds.

Yeah, I read that post, too. I just told myself I would NOT let it happen. I guess I'd have to just make the decision that it would be worth getting fired over, since I know that the poster didn't intend or want to or in any way smile about it.
What a hard situation for her. Definitely a rock and a hard place kind of situation. But, geez, walking pneumonia!?! And you know she's going to regret missing her daughter's birthday for the rest of her life. Sooooo not worth it!
If I were in Kady's sitch, I think the decision would be really hard but at the end of the day, I would choose my job. I know its really crappy, which is why I just can't have a job that would force me to make that choice.
